The All India Gem & Jewellery Domestic Council (GJC) and SGL (Solitaire Gemmological Laboratories) have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch the SGL Pavilion at the GJS Diwali Edition 2026, introducing a dedicated platform focused on diamond certification, technology and trusted manufacturing.
Scheduled to be held from 2–4 October 2026 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, the pavilion will feature 40 booths showcasing leading diamond manufacturers alongside an interactive SGL Experience Zone, designed to demonstrate advancements in diamond grading, certification technology and quality assurance.
The collaboration aims to create a specialised destination where manufacturers, retailers, buyers and trade visitors can explore the latest developments in diamond certification while connecting with progressive diamond manufacturers. The initiative also reflects the shared commitment of GJC and SGL to promote transparency, strengthen consumer confidence and create new business opportunities across the gem and jewellery industry.
The Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Saiyam Mehra, Convener – GJS & IPC, and Chirag Soni, Co-Founder & Director, SGL, in the presence of Avinash Gupta, Vice Chairman, GJC, Mitesh Dhorda, National Secretary, GJC, and Rahul Vasani, Business Development Manager, SGL Dubai. GJC and SGL also acknowledged Anil Prabhakar for facilitating the collaboration.

The GJS Diwali Edition 2026 is expected to host more than 350 exhibitors, around 700 booths, over 15,000 trade visitors and 2,000+ hosted buyers, reinforcing its position as one of India’s leading B2B jewellery exhibitions. The addition of the SGL Pavilion is expected to strengthen further the show’s focus on technology, certification and business networking.
