The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) has orchestrated a delegation visit to Latin America spanning from May 21st to May 29th, 2024. This strategic journey encompasses key destinations including Brazil (São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro), Colombia (Bogotá), and Panama (Panama City).
The primary objective of this visit is to delve into potential markets, fortifying India’s exports within the Latin American and Caribbean (LAC) region. Under the guidance of Mr. Kirit Bhansali, Vice Chairman of GJEPC, the delegates will conduct a comprehensive analysis of market dynamics, pinpointing lucrative prospects for the gems and jewellery sector, and fostering connections with industry associations and prominent enterprises.
Additionally, the delegation will actively delve into the import-export policies prevalent in these nations while championing participation in premier events such as the India International Jewellery Show (IIJS) and Buyer-Seller Meets.
A series of interactive sessions have been convened, including dialogues with the Indian Embassy in Brazil and influential retailers like H Stern. Notable companies featured in the networking sessions encompass Monte Cristo, Vivara, VQ Jewellery, and Villar Joias.
