On 10th September, GJEPC hosted a meeting with faculty members from the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) at its head office in Mumbai to discuss potential areas of collaboration.
The NIFT delegation included Ms. Jayati Mukherjee, Associate Professor at NIFT Kolkata and Chairperson of Fashion and Lifestyle Accessories (F&LA) at NIFT Headquarters; Mr. Kumar Sudeepta, Assistant Professor and Regional Industry Coordinator at NIFT Mumbai; and Dr. Pallavi Rani, Assistant Professor and Centre Coordinator for F&LA at NIFT Mumbai.
They were greeted by Mr. Nirav Bhansali, Convener of National Exhibitions at GJEPC; Mr. Milan Chokshi, Convener of Promotions & Marketing at GJEPC; and Mr. Sabyasachi Ray, Executive Director of GJEPC.
The meeting explored various collaboration opportunities, including Classroom Projects, Design Competitions like The Artisan Awards, Industry Exposure through Internships and Placements, Participation in IIJS, Faculty Development programs, and Knowledge Sharing via Seminars and Workshops.
This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry, fostering growth and innovation in the fashion and lifestyle accessories sector.
