The Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC) has reelected Isadore Mörsel as president of its board after a brief first term. Mörsel, CEO of Dali Diamond Company, first took over in October, succeeding David Gotlib, who resigned in September. The organization confirmed Mörsel for a two-year term in its board elections held two weeks ago.
Ravi Bhansali, managing director of Rosy Blue, has been selected as vice president, succeeding Sahag Arslanian. Bhansali, joining the board for the first time, represents the younger generation of diamantaires taking leadership positions in Antwerp in recent years, according to the AWDC.
“Mörsel has shown a strong commitment to the Antwerp diamond industry and its current challenges,” said Karen Rentmeesters, CEO ad-interim of the AWDC. The combined expertise and drive of the president, vice president, and the entire AWDC board are crucial to steering the future of Antwerp’s diamond industry towards growth.
