India named as partner country of Inhorgenta 2025

India has been named the official partner country for Inhorgenta 2025, the prestigious European trade platform for jewellery, watches, and gemstones. This announcement further strengthens the long-standing economic ties between India and Germany, which span over 500 years.

More than 50 Indian exhibitors will participate at Inhorgenta 2025, including prominent brands like Uniq Jewels, Silvesto India, Asian Star, Surya Jewellers, and Sejal Exports. In addition, several other satellite participants will also showcase their products, marking a significant representation of Indian craftsmanship at this global event.

The primary goal of this partnership is to foster deeper trade relations between India and Germany, with a special focus on the jewellery sector.

Stefan Rummel, CEO of Messe München, emphasized the significance of India’s involvement, stating: “India as the partner country of Inhorgenta 2025 showcases the traditional richness and innovative strength of the Indian jewellery industry. This reflects India’s growing importance in the global jewellery, watch, and gemstone markets. It presents European buyers with unparalleled opportunities to discover India’s design excellence and manufacturing capabilities.”

This partnership further underscores Inhorgenta’s position as a leading global platform for the jewellery and gemstone industries. Stefanie Mändlein, Exhibition Director at Inhorgenta, remarked: “We are proud that Inhorgenta is considered the leading marketplace for all key players in the jewellery and gemstone sectors worldwide.”

Vipul Shah, Chairman of the Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration: “This partnership marks a significant milestone for the Indian gem and jewellery industry. It opens up tremendous growth prospects and international recognition. Our finest manufacturers will showcase exclusive, innovative designs to visitors at Europe’s leading trade fair. We are excited to work with Inhorgenta to boost India’s presence in the European market.”

In addition to the exhibitors, the GJEPC will highlight India’s rich cultural and artistic legacy in two key exhibitions:

  • The India Experience Zone, located at the heart of the India Pavilion, will celebrate the nation’s diverse heritage, showcasing Indian handicrafts, jewellery, and textiles.
  • The Brand India Gallery will focus on the cutting-edge design, innovation, and manufacturing techniques used in Indian jewellery, highlighting the country’s strengths in the industry.

For networking opportunities, the GJEPC Lounge and a special cocktail event with culinary offerings will take place on the opening day of Inhorgenta, providing a platform for industry leaders to connect and collaborate.

This collaboration marks a major step in enhancing India’s role in the global jewellery and gemstone industry, as well as its growing influence in the European market.
