BDB solemnly paid homage today to the millions of Jewish lives brutally taken during World War II,
marking International Holocaust Remembrance Day at the historic Keneseth Eliyahoo Synagogue in
Mumbai. This global day of remembrance commemorates the liberation of Auschwitz- Birkenau and
honors the memory of the six million Jews and countless others who were systematically murdered
under the Nazi regime.
Mr. Mehul Shah, on behalf of BDB, led prayers and paid heartfelt respect to all Jewish victims of the
Holocaust. In a moment of collective reflection, attendees stood in silence to remember those
innocent lives lost and reaffirm the commitment to ensuring that such atrocities are never forgotten.
“Today, we mourn the innocent lives lost in the Holocaust,” said Mr. Shah. “May their memories be
a blessing, and may humanity never forget the lessons of history.”
The remembrance event in Mumbai brought together members of the Jewish community,
dignitaries, and others in a powerful tribute of unity and reflection. BDB’s participation underscores
its ongoing support for fostering understanding, peace, and respect among diverse communities.
