The event’s theme, unity in diversity, was realized in the collective will and camaraderie displayed by the BDB community.

This memorable month also saw the BDB mark its 41st Incorporation Year and the 15th Anniversary of serving as a cornerstone of India’s Diamond Industry within the Bandra-Kurla Complex. These milestones, arriving auspiciously in the same period as Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary, highlight the BDB’s sustained commitment to excellence, innovation, and shared growth within the global gems and jewellery sector.
Remembering the “Iron Lady” of India
Amidst these celebrations, the BDB paused to acknowledge the solemn significance of October 31st—the death anniversary of Shrimati Indira Gandhi, India’s first female Prime Minister and revered “Iron Lady.” Her indomitable spirit and unwavering leadership continue to inspire, reminding all present of the enduring impact of committed governance and courage in the nation’s history.

The event was graced by the enthusiastic participation of BDB Board members Shri Kiran Gandhi, Shri Jagdish Somani, and Shri Saket Mehta Convener BDB Sport Committee , lent a special vibrancy to the proceedings—personally wishing all race participants, emphasizing Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s towering contributions to Indian unity, and ceremoniously flagging off the marathon.
In his speech, Shri Mehta lauded the seamless organization by Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Mr. Maheshchandra Kaloni and Mr. Samir Jha, praising their swift and excellent coordination which ensured the event’s success.
