The exhibition will be held across two premier venues in Mumbai later this week.

IIJS Bharat – Signature 2026 will take place at the Jio World Convention Centre (JWCC), Bandra Kurla Complex, from 8 to 11 January 2026, and concurrently at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (NESCO), Goregaon, from 9 to 12 January 2026, alongside the machinery and technology showcase IGJME Bharat – Signature 2026.

Recognised as a barometer of market sentiment, IIJS Bharat – Signature plays a defining role in shaping sourcing trends, design direction, and business strategies for the gem and jewellery industry at the start of each year.

Scale and Global Participation

The exhibition will feature over 1,600 exhibitors across 3,300+ stalls, spread across 1.25 lakh square metres, and is expected to welcome more than 25,000 trade buyers from over 800 Indian cities, including 1,400 international buyers from 40 countries.

Buyers will have access to a comprehensive sourcing platform covering gold, diamond, silver, loose natural diamonds, coloured gemstones, couture jewellery, lab-grown diamonds, as well as machinery and allied services.

Strengthening its global footprint, IIJS Bharat – Signature 2026 will host 12 international buyer delegations. International participation includes 21 jewellery companies occupying 43 stalls from countries such as the USA, UAE, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Turkey, and Germany, along with four international machinery and allied companies across seven stalls.

Strong Industry Momentum

Reflecting renewed business confidence, 368+ new companies are making their debut at this edition, collectively occupying 472 stalls, underscoring the continued growth and relevance of IIJS Bharat – Signature as a global sourcing destination.

Commenting ahead of the event, Mr. Kirit Bhansali, Chairman, GJEPC, said that as the first global jewellery trade fair of the year, IIJS Bharat – Signature sets the direction for the industry. He highlighted India’s focus on strengthening global trust, expanding market access, and building long-term competitiveness through quality, innovation, and responsible practices.

Select CLUB and Luxury Focus

The Select CLUB, a curated luxury segment located at Jasmine Hall (3rd floor), JWCC, will bring together 107 select companies showcasing high-end couture and fine jewellery. Designed as an exclusive sourcing destination for premium buyers and luxury connoisseurs, Select CLUB reflects India’s growing strength in design-led, high-value jewellery.

According to Mr. Shaunak Parikh, Vice Chairman, GJEPC and Convener – National Exhibitions, the dual-venue format enables the Council to accommodate growing exhibitor demand while delivering a seamless buyer experience through curated sections, knowledge forums, and technology-driven services.

Brilliant Bharat – Art Forms of India

Aligned with the Brilliant Bharat – Art Forms of India theme, IIJS Bharat – Signature 2026 will celebrate India’s rich jewellery heritage through focused promotion of traditional art forms such as Filigree and Banarasi Meenakari.

A key highlight this year is the Crafts Pavilion, which will feature live demonstrations by National Award-winning artisans, showcasing GI-tagged jewellery traditions including Thewa (gold on glass), Banarasi Meenakari, the 500-year-old Silver Filigree craft from Cuttack, and distinctive silver anklets from the Hupari cluster.

Complementing this initiative, the Jewellery Crafts Design Competition will recognise design excellence rooted in Indian heritage, with winning creations displayed at the Brilliant Bharat Theme Gallery across both venues.

Knowledge Forums, Innovation and Sustainability

The Innov8 Talks and Symposium Knowledge Forums will address critical themes shaping the future of the industry, including the outlook for the natural diamond market, Free Trade Agreements, Ease of Doing Business, artificial intelligence in jewellery, and India’s leadership in lab-grown diamond technologies through InCent-LGD, IIT Madras.

IIJS Bharat – Signature 2026 will also witness the launch of JewelStart, GJEPC’s flagship business incubation initiative designed to support start-ups, MSMEs, designers, and artisans through mentorship, infrastructure, technology enablement, and market access.

Sustainability remains a core focus under GJEPC’s One Earth initiative. At this edition, over 600,000 single-use plastic water bottles will be eliminated at the BEC (NESCO) venue, reinforcing the Council’s commitment to responsible and eco-friendly exhibitions.

With enhanced digital services, seamless entry systems, interactive floor plans, and improved buyer-exhibitor connectivity, IIJS Bharat – Signature 2026 is poised to set the tone for the global gem and jewellery industry in the year ahead.
