The Bharat Diamond Bourse, recently organized a special address as part of its “Leadership Series.” The session featured Ali Pastorini, President of the International Jewellers Association (MUBRI), and Sachin Jain, Regional CEO of the World Gold Council (WGC).
Ali Pastorini discussed the growing demand for Indian diamonds and jewellery in Latin America, providing encouraging statistics for industry members. She also addressed duty structures in countries like Brazil and Paraguay, offering solutions for improving trade and logistics between India and LATAM economies.

Sachin Jain shared insights into the bright future of the diamonds, jewellery, gold market in India, highlighting upcoming WGC programs and evolving millennial preferences. He also discussed the WGC’s collaboration with the Government of India to develop critical infrastructure and support the sector’s growth. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where Mr. Jain addressed various industry-relevant inquiries. In his concluding address Mr. Mehul Shah, Vice President, Bharat Diamond Bourse applauded the speakers and thanked GIA Alumni for its participation. “The BDB Leadership Series is Bharat Diamond Bourse’s endeavor to invite Industry leaders from India and Abroad to educate, inform and prepare our members for a formidable future. We wish to continue the success and take it to each and every member company based in BDB, be it big or small”.
